Karnatak University

Karnatak University Courses and Syllabus [year] - Courses Offered, Diploma Syllabus 1The Bombay state of the old Bombay Presidency started Karnatak University through the Karnatak University Act 1949. It became a required University on 1st March 1950. The law of the University covers Dharwad. Gadag, Haveri, and Uttar Kannada districts. Karnatak University has several PG centers. The University has Eight Hundred eighty-eight acres is offering courses in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Education, Law, Management, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences. Symbolic of the University’s sight and space the symbol of the University consists of the papal tree at the center, an open book.

Art of a bull, a rising sun, and the legend “Arive Guru” such as Wisdom is Guru, implying that both wisdom and knowledge should be all-fill like the branch papal tree and light up the world with knowledge and get rid of illiteracy. There are forty-seven PG Departments, Two-hundred-twenty four teachers, and Four Thousand and five-hundred students PG, M.Phil., Ph.D. The girl students constitute a fourty-seven percentage of the total strength. Including PG Diploma, M.Phil, and Ph.D. Courses. Six percent of the students are from outside the State.

To eliminate social debarring and promote social law, seats are reserved for SC/ST, Cat-I, Minorities, OBC, and BC categories in accordance with the policy of the State Government. One seat each is reserved for the children of ex-servicemen, freedom fighters, physically challenged, and sportsmen. The Karnatak University having its own High School University Public School since 1964. Which meets the practice requirements of the B. Ed College of Karnatak University.
